The Setup of Outlook Express is fairly simple.

1. If there is an icon for Outlook Express on your desktop double click on it and skip to step 5.
2. Click on the 'Start' button.
3. Click on 'Programs' on the Start menu.
4. Click on 'Outlook Express'.
5. If the 'Internet Connection Wizard' starts then skip to step 9.
6. On the Outlook Express menu bar, click on the 'Tools' menu.
7. On the 'Tools' menu, click on 'Accounts'.
8. Click on the 'Mail' tab near the top of the 'Accounts' window.
9. Click on the 'Add' button, then click on 'Mail'.
10. In the 'Display name:' box type your name.
11. Click on the 'Next >' button.
12. Click in the circle beside 'I already have an email address I'd like to use.'
13. Type your email address (from your contract) in the box beside 'E-mail address:'.
14. Click on the 'Next >' button.
15. On the next screen (E-mail Server Names) click on the down arrow button on the 'My incoming mail s is a ______ server.' and then click on 'POP3'.
16. In the 'Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server:' box type mail.wrkcs.net
17. In the 'Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:' box type mail.wrkcs.net
18. Click on the 'Next >' button.
19. In the 'Account name:' box type in your WRKCS.net user name (from your contract).
20. If you want Outlook Express to remember your password type your password in the 'Password: box, then make sure there is a checkmark (by clicking in the box) next to 'Remember password'.
21. Click on the 'Next >' button.
22. Click on the 'Finish' button.
23. On the 'Internet Accounts' screen click on mail.wrkcs.net then click 'Properties'.
24. On the 'mail.wrkcs.net Properties' screen;
    • Click on the 'General' tab if it is not already displayed.
    • Type your name in the box beside 'Name:'.
    • Type your email address in the box beside 'E-mail Address:'.
    • Click on the 'Connection' tab.
    • Click in the box beside 'Always connect to this account using:'/
    • Click on the down arrow button in the box below 'Always connect to this account using:' and then click on 'WRKCS.net'.
    • Click on the 'Apply' button.
    • Click on the 'OK' button.
• Outlook Express 6 is now set up for your WRKCS.net email account. If you have additional email accounts go back to step 6 and enter the new account information otherwise you can now go back to the support menu and get the instructions for your browser, and news reader.
